Harry Connick Jr. is confident his fans have been sufficiently warned not to expect his usual crooning when he performs Saturday at the World. And he shrugs off concerns that the New Orleans funk he'll be performing with his new five-man group, Funky Dunky, won't go over as well with his ardent followers as the big-band standards that hooked them.

"Well, maybe we'll lose some of them," he said, reconsidering. "But we'll be playing that stuff (the standards) again. I'm only 26. I've only scratched the surface of that style."
