Article: Napoleonic Society to Hear Debate on Emperor's Death

Some 400 members of the Napoleonic Society of America are eagerly awaiting a possible solution to a 173-year-old mystery:

Did French Emperor Napoleon Bonaparte die of arsenic poisoning or maybe cyanide while exiled to the South Atlantic island of St. Helena?

After all, Napoleon made plenty of enemies while conquering Europe, then losing it all.

This weekend, they might find an answer during their annual convention in the Union League Club.

At about 3 p.m. Sunday, the FBI, which agreed to analyze what's believed to be deathbed cuttings of Napoleon's hair, is expected to tell the convention the results of its tests, conducted in Washington, D.C.
