Marian Catholic's Bucky Glickley was trying to light a spark. Little did he know he was igniting a bonfire.

Glickley's recovery of a fumbled Joliet Catholic punt early in the third quarter sparked a four-touchdown second half that gave Marian Catholic a 26-14 victory in a battle of East Suburban Catholic Conference leaders Friday night in Chicago Heights.

"Our coaches told us, big players have to make big plays," Glickley said. "Somebody had to step up. It was just my turn."

The victory clinched at least a tie for the league title for Marian Catholic (6-2, 6-0), which has won six in a row since opening the season with losses to Homewood-Flossmoor and Mount Carmel.
