Brennan Logue knew from the way his body ached Friday that he had put out his best effort for Brother Rice. But he was ready to celebrate, not rest.

"Coach said I'd get some work today, but I didn't think that much," said the Crusader who led the charge that rallied Brother Rice over Dunbar 28-22 in the 61st annual Prep Bowl before 3,175 at Soldier Field.

Logue, a senior running back, battered 31 times for 226 yards, and ran for three touchdowns and a conversion as Brother Rice boosted the Catholic League's domination to 40-19-2 in the series for city honors.

Asked if this was his best game, Logue said, "I'm not much into personal statistics."
