J ust as I suspected, there seems to be such a thing as chronic jet lag. And I undoubtedly suffer from it after 12 years of full-throttle globetrotting.

There's no reason you should feel sorry for me, of course, because the sleepless daze in which I sometimes stumble is a small price to pay for all the marvels I've seen as Sun-Times travel editor during 211 trips and 1,846 nights on the road ranging across all seven continents.
