There is no better time to give a party than during the holiday
season! People's spirits are high, and the joy of Christmas is
everywhere. Even our streets and stores are decorated for
celebration. Two of my favorite Christmas parties are a tree
trimming party and an open house on New Year's Day. A tree trimming
party is a great party for newlyweds. To the usual request from
invitees of `What can I bring?" the answer is "an ornament for the
tree."
Put your tree up a day or two before the party so that the
branches fall into the proper positions. Also test the lights, and
put them on the tree before the party. Provide refreshments for the
guests, but not until the tree has been trimmed. ...
