RAID ON REFUGEES: About 28 Cubans were injured when U.S. troops
raided a refugee camp in Panama that was the site of violent riots
last week in which 221 American soldiers were injured, U.S. military
officials said. Hundreds of troops dressed in full riot gear
stormed one of the camps early Sunday and detained about 400 Cubans
who U.S. officials believe took part in the two-day revolt on
Wednesday and Thursday, according to the U.S. military in Panama.
Three Cuban refugees were hospitalized for observation after some of
the Cubans resisted U.S. soldiers during the raid, U.S. officials
