The football team is still two thousand miles away, but they
gather just the same, linked by a satellite dish and a common cause.
They are the Los Angeles Rams' newest fan club, and every Sunday
they meet at Union Station in St. Louis, just to get a glimpse of
their new heroes.
It appears to be only a matter of time before the Rams move to
St. Louis, bringing football back to a city that lost its franchise
when Bill Bidwill moved the Cardinals to Arizona in 1988. But the
madness already has begun.
This is the power of sports, the civic magnet that accompanies a
professional franchise regardless of location.
