L L ora Brody expands the baking magic of bread machines.
She doesn't think they should even be called "bread machines."
She thinks they should be called "dough machines" at the very least,
maybe even "food-combining machines."
Brody, co-author with Millie Apter of Bread Machine Baking:
Perfect Every Time (William Morrow and Co., $20), might even call it
a "dessert machine." She also has co-written Desserts From Your
Bread Machine: Perfect Every Time (Morrow, $22).
For instance, Brody says, you can make dough in a bread machine
for something as simple as crackers to more elaborate recipes for
focaccia, brioche and pizza.
