Article: Nassau Renaissance: New Resorts Brighten Cable Beach Prospects

Nassau, which recently had its airport and roads improved,
appears poised for a tourism comeback. In recent months, several
major players in the resort scene have moved into the Cable Beach
area or invested in refurbishments.
Here's a rundown of several new or improved resorts:
SuperClubs bought the 400-room Ambassador Beach Hotel on Nassau's
Cable Beach last fall and is planning to introduce an all-inclusive
concept that's less expensive than the five SuperClubs resorts in
Jamaica. Called Breezes Bahamas, the atmosphere of the $10 million
resort for singles and couples is being likened to "a cruise ship on
land."
