Fearful of being bypassed by the interactive age, the nation's encyclopedia publishers, including those in Chicago, are scrambling to market new and expanded versions of their reference books on CD-ROMs.

World Book Educational Products in Elk Grove Village, the publishers of World Book Encyclopedia, today will make available for delivery its newest CD-ROM reference work, the World Book Multimedia Encyclopedia.
