Fearful of being bypassed by the interactive age, the nation's
encyclopedia publishers, including those in Chicago, are scrambling
to market new and expanded versions of their reference books on
CD-ROMs.
World Book Educational Products in Elk Grove Village, the
publishers of World Book Encyclopedia, today will make available for
delivery its newest CD-ROM reference work, the World Book Multimedia
Encyclopedia.
The multimedia disk is one of several reference works being
launched this month as the race for the electronic publishing market
heats up.
