Before you touch that cheese-oozing, Chicago-style deep-dish,
before you sink your chompers into that 14-inch pie fresh from the
delivery guy, remember this: The "pizza police" are watching.
And they want you to know that the pizza you're eating is about
as Italian as chop suey.
Who are these pizzeria patrolmen? They're a three-man team from
the Naples Pizza Association, and they have come to the United States
this week on a mission: worldwide conformity to traditional
Neapolitan pizza principles.
And the Chicago-style stuffed pizza we've grown up on is high on
the hit list.
