Article: Sanitation Standouts Can Talk Some Trash

Kent Heisner of Chicago Heights, we are sorry to report, was not
named Sanitation Worker of the Year.
That honor, bestowed by a maker of garbage bags, went to John
Wiggins, a garbage collector from Raleigh, N.C.
But Heisner was named first runner-up. And should Wiggins for
any reason be unable to serve, Heisner would step right in.
"I'm thrilled that someone finally recognized us sanitation
workers," said Heisner, who has not missed a day of work in 10 years
at the Skyline Disposal Co.
Heisner writes a column in a small local paper: "Garbage Man's
Tips of the Month."
If Heisner was happy, Wiggins was downright effusive.
"I think my job is just as important as President ...
