American Eagle Attendants Join Union
The Association of Flight Attendants said today that flight
attendants employed by AMR Corp.'s American Eagle carriers have voted
to be represented by the union. In a press release, the union said
the American Eagle flight attendants from the four units - Simmons
Airlines, Flagship Airlines, Executive Airlines and Wings West - were
formerly represented by three different unions. An Aug. 15 ruling by
the National Mediation Board declared the four American Eagle
carriers a single employer for the purpose of collective bargaining.
The AFA already already represented the 600 Simmons flight
attendants.
