When Corey Maggette isn't slowed with foul trouble, he is one
tough player. When you add Mark Treadwell to the entry, Fenwick
won't lose many games this season.
The Friars improved to 5-1 and 2-0 in the Catholic League North
behind sophomores Maggette and Treadwell, who helped blitz Gordon
Tech 83-51 Friday in Oak Park.
Maggette has fouled out of two games, including the Friars' loss
to Providence-St. Mel. He had a sitdown with assistant coach Jeff
Carpenter after fouling out of the Friars' last game at Mount Carmel
and came out determined for Gordon Tech (3-3, 1-1), scoring 10 points
in the first quarter.
