Article: Thank Heaven For Revival Of the 1958 Classic, `Gigi'

In today's politically correct climate, it is doubtful an old lecher would be encouraged to sing "Thank Heaven for Little Girls" in a movie musical - not even if he were Maurice Chevalier. But the song is one of the many wonderful moments in "Gigi," which won the Academy Award as the best picture of 1958.

The movie, which is being screened this weekend at the Music Box in a restored print, also won Oscars for direction (Vincente Minnelli), screenplay adaptation, art direction, cinematography, costumes, editing, musical score, and best song ("Gigi").
