Article: No Room in Vegas Inn For the Low Roller?

A huffle through the Gaming mailbag:

Dear John: I'd like your comment on a policy at a Las Vegas casino. For the second year in a row, the casino would not accept reservations for a weekend because I was not a "preferred guest." I asked the reservation clerk what that meant. All guests may apply for a "preferred card" to be inserted in slot machines or shown to the pit boss at the tables. The amount of gambling by the guest is then recorded. In this casino, there are "A," "B," and "C" ratings. C ratings are not given reservations over the weekend. She suggested I could upgrade that by coming more often and gambling more.

Would you consider this discriminatory? Could there be any redress. ...
