Michelle Pfeiffer's official biography no longer mentions her early
screen appearances in such movies as "The Hollywood Knights" and
"Grease 2," nor does it list her role as "The Bombshell" in a
deservedly short-lived frat-boy sitcom inspired by "Animal House."
Revisionist publicity suggests she arrived on the scene with
star presence intact when she co-starred in Brian De Palma's splashy
mess, "Scarface," as Elvira, the translucently thin, unbearably
frosty and pathetically coked-up object of Al Pacino's affections.
