LITTLE ROCK, Ark. Now the Whitewater wait begins.
Jurors in the fraud and conspiracy case against President
Clinton's Whitewater business partners and Arkansas Gov. Jim Guy
Tucker walked in somber single file Thursday as they left the
courtroom and began deliberating after an 11-week trial.
U.S. District Court Judge George Howard Jr. instructed jurors on
points of law and the specifics of the criminal case for more than
two hours, reminding them at one point to read nothing into Tucker's
decision against testifying in his own defense.
"The fact that a defendant did not testify must not be
considered by you in any way," Howard said.
