Once considered the realm of elite trout fishermen, fly fishing
has become the fastest-growing segment of angling.
Today, anglers are using their whippy rods and baits made of fur
and feathers to go after everything from bluegills to tarpon.
"There's lots of interest, and it seems to be growing more and
more," said Ted Dzialo, executive director of the National Fresh
Water Fishing Hall of Fame in Hayward, Wis. "We entered a lot of new
records in the book last year. I was talking to a couple of guys who
are seriously going out looking for Northern pike and muskie with a
fly rod."
