They poked and prodded, baiting their hook with flying elbows and
flagrant words.
And when all else failed, the Seattle SuperSonics deployed a
designated thug, only to have his mission completely backfire.
Dennis Rodman didn't do a lot to help the Bulls in their 107-90
victory over the Sonics on Wednesday at the United Center. But he
did nothing to hurt their chances, either. And under the conditions,
that was no small accomplishment.
"They called me this and that, all kinds of nasty names," Rodman
said. "But the only way I'm getting baited is if I'm fishing.
Wasn't going to work."
