Clemenza is in the basement of his home with Michael Corleone,
schooling him on how to behave in the restaurant once Michael has
assassinated a rival mob boss and a corrupt police captain.
As Michael points the unloaded gun at an imaginary target, the
meatball-shaped Clemenza awkwardly tries to tell Michael how much he
cares for him.
"We was all real proud of you, for being a war hero and all,"
says Clemenza.
Michael squeezes the trigger. He's not a war hero any more.
He's going to join the dark side of the family business.
I was on the sofa late one night, in that hazy zone where you're
half-asleep and you know you should be in bed but you're robotically
working the clicker through one ...
