The step dancers are coming. And they make the Rockettes look
like yesterday's legs.
"Riverdance," the elaborate spectacle that puts a hard-driving
New Age spin on a bravura ensemble of high-flying Irish dancers and
musicians, will arrive at the Rosemont Theatre this fall.
The show, which was born in Dublin and became a major attraction
in London, enjoyed a brief, sold-out run at New York's Radio City
Musical Hall (where I saw it this winter). It now is embarking on an
international tour with its vast ensemble of more than 80 step
dancers, musicians and vocalists, along with a pair of tap masters, a
group of Russian folk dancers and a flamenco star who lend a world
