The man for Mamet just celebrated his 11th birthday.
And within days of graduating from fifth grade at the Hubbard
Woods School in Winnetka, Zaks Lubin made his professional stage
debut in the superb Steppenwolf Studio Theatre production of David
Mamet's "The Cryptogram."
Lubin plays an eerie role, and a formidable one, as the child
who realizes that his parents are about to divorce and that his life
will be forever altered. He carries off the emotional complexities,
as well the brain-twisting Mamet locutions, with the kind of aplomb
