The lure of fly fishing is much attached to the sport's lore.
Steve Deeg, who grew up in Minnesota, was 5 when he heard fly
fishing's call.
Vacationing with his family, Deeg came across the classic
example of a fly fisherman: a man with a willow creel, a fly rod and
a pipe.
"I said to myself, `I have to learn to do that,' " said Deeg,
who handles membership for the Oak Brook branch of Trout Unlimited.
"I have been fly fishing since I was 6."
