ASSOCIATED PRESS CAP D'ANTIBES, France Bernardo Bertolucci has made a
career - and won an Academy Award - out of a fondness for epics,
often shot in exotic locales such as Manchuria or Bhutan.
But in his new film, "Stealing Beauty," the director returns to
his native Italy to track the intimate terrain of the heart.
The movie stars Liv Tyler as Lucy Harmon, a 19-year-old American
who travels to Italy after the death of her mother to pursue a
flirtation begun four years before.
Among those sharing the Tuscan villa at which she arrives are
Donal McCann, playing a sculptor keen to use Lucy as his model;
Sinead Cusack as McCann's emotionally generous wife; and Jeremy Irons
