Changing times mean changing recipes. Swap Shop often receives
letters from readers lamenting that they can't eat their favorite
dishes anymore because their doctor has advised them to eat less
salt, fat or sugar.
Georgia Szkolny answered Maria Chapman's request for a recipe
for sausage balls made with Cheddar cheese and Bisquick baking mix by
supplying us with both the original and an updated, lower-fat
version. Both recipes come from General Mills, the makers of
Bisquick, and are equally good.
The original sausage-cheese ball recipe calls for pork sausage
and Cheddar and Parmesan cheeses. Cheesy sausage bites, the
lower-fat version, are made with turkey sausage and reduced-fat
cheese ...
