Chicago-born Joe Mantegna is an award-winning stage and screen
actor, and a playwright. He conceived and co-wrote the play
"Bleacher Bums" with the original Organic Theater cast. This play
earned him an Emmy. He also co-wrote the musical "Eli." He was
awarded Tony and Jeff awards for his role in David Mamet's "Glengarry
Glen Ross" on Broadway and at the Goodman here. He debuted on
Broadway in the musical version of Studs Terkel's "Working," also
starred there in David Mamet's "Speed-the-Plow." He has been in a
number of feature films, including Mamet's "House of Games" and
"Things Change," and "Godfather III." Coming up soon are "Albino
