Article: GOP asleep at the wheel

The Republican Party in Illinois is either asleep or nonexistent. Since the Republican revolution swept this country and Illinois in 1994, I have heard very little from a state that can boast a Republican governor, lieutenant governor, treasurer, controller, attorney general, secretary of state, and state Senate and House majorities.

Where is less government? Where are lower taxes? Where is tough on crime? Where is the end of affirmative action? Republicans could control these issues and push them to the top of the agenda.
