You might say that Mary Miller has salmon swimming in her blood.

Her mother, Selma Leman, was born and raised on the Kenai Peninsula in Alaska, where salmon is king. Leman's "Aunti" Fedora, who lives in Anchorage, taught her how to make salmon loaf, and Leman in turn passed the recipe on to her daughter.
