Article: Electoral College has its say today

WASHINGTON The Electoral College will cast its ballots for president and vice president today, finally bringing the presidential election to an end.

The 538 electors will vote in state capitals around the country. Vice President Al Gore, as president of the Senate, will announce the results during a joint session of Congress Jan. 9.
