Guests packing Navy Pier for the preview party celebrating the
opening of SOFA Chicago 1996 found the best show to date in this
exciting display of sculpture, objects and functional art.
A benefit for the John Thomas Graziano Fund in Pediatric AIDS
at Children's Memorial Hospital, the party welcomed more than 1,100
guests and was chaired by Cathy and Steve Smith, with Leslie and
Roger Berger serving as co-chairs.
The preview party in the fully carpeted and beautifully lit
exhibition hall at Navy Pier featured contemporary art ranging from
large outdoor and indoor sculptures to furniture. The pieces were
created by 700 artists who were represented by more than 80
international galleries ...
