Robert Kittle of Cedar Lake, Ind., requested a recipe for pickled
eggs. Hazel Jellen sent us her recipe for "pretty in pink" pickled
eggs, which get their brilliant color from beet juice.
Combine vinegar, sugar, pickling spices and garlic, toss in a
dozen hard-cooked eggs and in a week you'll have a delicious,
nutritious treat.
Jellen's husband loves the eggs and eats them as a snack or as a
side dish with any meal.
Irene Kostro and many other Swap Shop readers sent us the recipe
for Harvey Wallbanger cake. This dessert, which was very popular in
the mid-1970s, gets its name from a cocktail made with Galliano
