After two consecutive losses to Boris Becker in Germany,
top-seeded Pete Sampras has his chance for revenge.
Sampras survived a barrage of 35 aces by fourth-seeded Goran
Ivanisevic to reach the final of the ATP Tour World Championships in
Hanover, Germany, with a 6-7 (6-8), 7-6 (7-4), 7-5 victory Saturday.
"It's scary to play this guy," Sampras said. "I've never faced
a bigger server in tennis. It's so frustrating playing him."
Sixth-seeded Becker rallied to beat eighth-seeded Richard
Krajicek 6-7 (4-7), 7-6 (7-3), 6-3 in the other semifinal.
Facing Becker might be even scarier for Sampras, who lost to him
Thursday in a round-robin match. That was his second loss to Becker
in Germany ...
