`I'm going to do a New Year's Eve party that's going to be the
biggest thing Chicago has seen in a long time," Dennis Rodman said,
seeming to dream it up as quickly as it could be scribbled down.
"It's going to be for everybody. . . . I don't know where yet.
We haven't decided. But it's going to be announced next week . . .
(and) it's going to be a Mardi Gras, a Mardi Gras for Chicago New
Year's Eve. And it's going to be historic."
HISTORIC, HUH? It's worth noting that Rodman's history as a
social director is a tad spotty. Besides the wedding-that-wasn't
last summer in New York, there was the birthday party at Crobar last
spring to which he invited the world, only to have the bouncers ...
