Jet lag. It's the bane of every frequent business traveler.

And now there's some evidence that jet lag doesn't just cause that lethargic feeling as the body tries to adjust after high-speed travel through time zones. It might also cause brain shrinkage and memory loss.

Earlier this month, researchers from England's University of Bristol used MRI scans to study two sets of flight attendants. They found the group that had less time to rest between flights had smaller right temporal lobes, which is where visual recognition and spatial memory are developed.
