Bud Light, the No. 1 light beer, is about to get its own local
marketing push in some key areas, including Chicago.
While not exactly a revival of the "Bud Light Spotlight" local
ad campaigns of the early 1990s, Anheuser-Busch is turning to local
ad campaigns in some key markets - including Chicago, New York and
Texas, among others - where the brand faces more competition than
other markets.
In Chicago, two spots filmed in the last two weeks by DDB
Needham Chicago and local director Joe Scudiero use the infamous
"scam guys" who were introduced in Bud Light spots during the Super
Bowl.
One spot shows the two guys trying to sell a beat-up old car to
locally famous car pitchmen Nick ...
