A group of Illinois law enforcement officials Wednesday launched
a crime-fighting initiative that emphasizes giving children a better
start in life.
The effort, "Fight Crime: Invest in Kids Illinois," endorsed four
bills in Springfield that offer expanded child care and in-home
coaching for parents.
