COLUMBUS, Ohio In a way, it's the mecca of meat.
A mysterious way.
The historic White Castle headquarters have been just north of
downtown Columbus since 1934. It's worth a stop if you're quickly
passing through - just like the popular burger goes through your
system.
You know how it goes down. For decades, the slider has been the
butt of jokes: "Ex-Lax on a Bun," "Beef Cookies," "The Meat That
Boogies." Columbus is the birthplace of Wendy's, Bob Evans Farm
restaurants and good ol' Arthur Treacher's Fish & Chips. But there's
nothing like a White Castle.
