Dear Ann:
Please tell the lady who is "In Love With a Gambler" to RUN and
not look back. I was married to a gambler for too many years. There
is no way to describe the hell her life will be if she marries the
man. He will do anything to gamble -- lie, cheat and steal. He will
mortgage the house and max out credit cards she didn't know existed.
There will be post-office boxes in his name and maybe some aliases.
Gambling will be his first mistress, the most important thing in his
life. Like an alcoholic who will do anything for a drink, he will do
anything to shoot dice, play cards or bet on horses.
My experience with addictions has taught me that if there is one
