Article: Golf carts may soon putter down city streets

Golf carts could travel city streets under a proposal that passed the state Senate last month - pushed by lobbyists for Del Webb's Sun City in Huntley, a retirement community scheduled to open next year in the far northwest suburb.

The bill, proposed by Sen. Dick Klemm (R-Crystal Lake) and under consideration by the House, would give Illinois municipalities the power to allow golf carts on streets.
