For decades, Pasadena, Calif., has been the goal of Big Ten
teams.
With the conference participating in the new Bowl Championship
Series, though, the gaze has shifted eastward to Tempe, Ariz., near
Phoenix.
Asked whether he has the Rose Bowl or Fiesta Bowl up on the
bulletin board, Ohio State coach John Cooper said, "Right now, we
have the Fiesta Bowl. For the first time in the history of college
football, the national championship is going to be determined on the
field.
"If you're fortunate enough to be No. 1 or No. 2, you're going
to be playing in the Fiesta Bowl for the national championship,"
