Forget those "how to succeed in business" guides. If you really
want the secret to career success, watch the Spice Girls.
Try not to shudder.
The Spice Girls are the type of entertainers critics love to
trash: people who make gobs of money without having, well, gobs of
talent. But when they hit Chicago or any other city, they earn
praise from at least some critics, admiration from parents and, of
course, devotion from their (mostly) young fans.
You don't need to be an 8-year-old girl to look up to them,
either. Whether you run a Fortune 500 company or make minimum wage,
you can learn a lot from watching the Spice Girls - besides the usual
career counseling blather about working hard ...
