KANSAS CITY, Mo. The Westport Flea Market is the only place in
America where you can barter for treasures after eating a Cajun
chicken salad and downing one of 26 different draught beers.
The indoor flea market and bar and grill is a must stop for anyone
who visits the trendy Westport neighborhood, three miles south of
downtown Kansas City. The popular catchphrase with locals is "Get
drunk and buy junk."
"Many times men come here with their wives," said flea market
general manager Barbara Cornelius. "They hang out in the bar area,
drink and watch sports. The women go shop."
The bar and grill portion of the Westport Flea Market, 817 Westport
