Four familiar Chicago sportscasters have signed on to launch the new
ESPN Radio 1000 sports talk format Monday at WMVP-AM (1000).
Anchoring mornings from the ABC-owned station's Chicago studios
will be Lou Canellis, best known for his long run as SportsChannel's
courtside reporter during Bulls basketball broadcasts.
Canellis, whose multiyear deal was negotiated by agent Steve
Mandell, will be joined by Tony Bruno and Mike Golic from ESPN's
studios in Bristol, Conn., from 5 to 9 a.m. weekdays.
"Lou Canellis is ideally suited to be the Chicago anchor for
this particular morning show," said Zemira Jones, president and
