Dirk Graham, the Blackhawks' rookie coach, has no problem with
those who have questions about his hiring.
"I think it's a legitimate concern, and I would think the same
thing if I was looking at the situation," Graham said. "But I could
sit here and have 20 years on the job, and if I lose 60 percent of my
games . . ."
The Hawks didn't do quite that badly last season, going
30-39-13. But the situation could not have been bleaker when Graham
was tabbed to replace coach Craig Hartsburg, who was fired after the
Hawks failed to make the playoffs for the first time in 29 years.
