LOS ANGELES Envy is an ugly thing to behold. Consider the famous
actress who is insulting Michelle Pfeiffer's looks.
She has a laundry list of insults. "Stringy hair. Lips that
look like something that belong on a duck. Dark circles under the
eyes," she says.
Who does she think she is, anyway? Perhaps the only person who
doesn't think Michelle Pfeiffer is beautiful - Pfeiffer herself.
To hear her tell it, Pfeiffer, whose "The Deep End of the
Ocean" opens March 12, is just your average 41-year-old mother who
can't get her kids to bed on time, hence the dark circles. She is a
wife who, instead of foofing her hair this morning, was "shuffling
around in my slippers an hour ago walking ...
