For some Super Bowl bettors, the most important action of the day
could be at Highbury Stadium in North London.
The Imperial Palace Race & Sports Book in Las Vegas is allowing
customers to wager on whether Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Terance
Mathis scores more touchdowns in the Super Bowl than Arsenal scores
goals in its English Premier League soccer match against Chelsea on
Sunday.
While the standard bet on the Super Bowl winner remains a staple
in Las Vegas, sports book operators said such proposition bets are
becoming a bigger part of the more than $70 million wagered legally
in Nevada on the game.
