Lake Park's primary goal against No. 4 Larkin on Friday night was
pretty basic: Keep quarterback Matt Schabert and receivers Stan
Yarbough, Travann Hayes and Turner Pugh on the sideline as much as
possible.
"You don't want to give them extra chances," Lake Park coach Andy
Livingston said of the Royals' dangerous passing attack.
Extra chances? Larkin had no chance against Lake Park's offense
led by 6-3, 188-pound senior running back Nana Agyeman, who rushed
for 221 yards and four touchdowns and passed for one other touchdown
in Lake Park's 47-23 victory.
Lake Park (6-1, 5-0) was the underdog in the battle for first
place in the Upstate Eight, but it was the Lancers' seventh
