Article: Scout's honor: Murray jobless

Bob Murray hopes to be back working in the NHL within a week or so, but his new business card will not bear the Blackhawks logo.

Murray, the former Hawks general manager who was fired Dec. 2, hasn't been offered a position in the organization he served for the last 25 years. So he hopes another team will hire him as a scout for the rest of the season.

"I love the game and I want to work, so hopefully I'll have an opportunity at some small things," Murray said Wednesday. "It's tough right now because teams have their budgets pretty locked up at this point. But I think it is important to get back out there, see games and be around it all.
